Backed by nearly 25 years of industry experience, Robert “Bobby” Ritter is poised to guide clients of The Mid-Continent Companies through a complex and ever-changing insurance and employee benefits landscape.
Recognized for an exceptional approach to customer service, advanced analytical skills and a comprehensive understanding of financial underwriting, Bobby has repeatedly earned awards and accolades from some of the insurance industry’s premier providers.
Before joining Mid-Continent, Bobby served as an account executive for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas, where he was responsible for a client roster of companies ranging in size from 100 to 2,000 employees. For more than a decade prior, Bobby was a dedicated team member with Aetna, where he held numerous positions, including financial underwriter, underwriter unit leader, senior account manager and account executive. During Bobby’s tenure with Aetna, companies with as many as 50,000 employees benefited from his expertise. Bobby began his career in the insurance industry as an account executive with Travelers Insurance Company, where he maintained and supported four major field offices in the company’s southwest region.
Bobby was awarded a four year track scholarship to attend the University of North Texas, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. He was a founding member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity at the University.
Bobby currently lives in Sugar Land with his wife Constance, and their three sons: Phoenix, Jake and Weston. Bobby is an active member of his church, Christ United Methodist. He serves on numerous committees and volunteers with the youth at the church. Bobby’s Mother, Susan Ritter, has Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and he created a golf tournament in her honor to help raise money for this devastating disease. The tournament recently celebrated its 10th year and has raised well over $100,000 for MS research.
